Choreographer / Co-Director: Heidi Latsky
Co-Director: Paola Styron

IF features artists with varied limbs in a work that transcends physical difference. Heidi Latsky's fascination with different body types and distinctive ways of moving captures each performer's unique personality and emotions, creating a tangible sensuality, a touch of voyeurism, and a new frame of reference.

Widely recognized for the virtuosity, passion and intensity she brings, Latsky's new work is no exception and takes the 2008 critically acclaimed GIMP, a portrayal of "the other" as extraordinary, to a new level.

IF is a tapestry of movement featuring original music by Chris Brierley and Randall Woolf. With a 20-person, multicultural, multi-generational cast of all abilities, Latsky again dissolves the boundaries of traditional dance and explores complex new terrain by giving a collective voice and space to this diverse company of dancers.

Artist in Residence for 2010

The creation of IF was made possible with the generous support of the Jewish Community Center (JCC) in NYC.  The resulting artistry of IF was shown at the JCC in Manhattan, New York, December 9, 11, and 12, 2010.
