Keeping Families Together. Helping to prevent foster care placement by offering support in addressing issues of abuse, neglect and family violence. Developing skills that strengthen families and lead to self-sufficiency and personal growth.
- Supported by the largest Administration of Children Services (ACS) contract in Queens, our General Preventive services provide trained counselors to work with the entire family to prevent the removal of children into foster care, dealing with issues ranging from basic survival needs (housing, immigration and healthcare) to developing better parenting, coping and conflict resolution skills.
- Our Family Treatment Rehabilitation (FTR) preventive services feature a certified alcohol and substance abuse counselor to provide individual and group counseling and case management to both individuals and families dealing with these difficult issues.
