Women and children who are not safe in their own homes are accommodated for up to 90 days at the Coalition's Safe Home for Abused Families, a new residence maintained at a confidential location. The Safe Home is designed to meet the needs of the physically challenged. Alternate housing arrangements are made for those with special needs for whom the Safe Home is not the best location.

Advocacy and counseling are provided in the Safe Home for both women and children. Clients in residence there have assistance taking practical actions to care for themselves and secure their safety. The goal of residency in the Safe Home is one of learning to live a safe and independent life. While in any type of emergency housing with us, clients have access to the full range of Coalition services and assistance.
